The Jessore District Food Department has officially commenced the appointment process for Open Market Sale (OMS) dealers through a public lottery. On Thursday, a lottery was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, aiming to appoint 12 OMS dealers across 9 wards of Jessore Municipality.
The event was presided over by District Food Controller Sefaur Rahman, with Deputy Commissioner Azaharul Islam, who also serves as the chairman of the selection committee, attending as the chief guest. Members of the selection committee, journalists, and over a hundred applicants aspiring to become OMS dealers were present.
The following individuals were selected as OMS dealers through the lottery:

However, the appointments for three locations have been postponed due to documentation errors. These include:
