Shocking Forensic Findings on Diego Maradona’s Death

-

Even after four years, the mystery surrounding football legend Diego Maradona’s death remains unresolved. He passed away on November 25, 2020, due to cardiac arrest. However, a case is ongoing against seven healthcare workers accused of negligence in his treatment. During the trial, forensic expert Mauricio Casinei presented new and shocking findings in court.

The forensic specialist, who conducted Maradona’s autopsy, revealed that the football icon endured extreme suffering before his death. In addition to heart failure, fluid had accumulated in his lungs at least ten days prior due to liver cirrhosis. He stated that doctors and nurses should have been more attentive to these warning signs.

Mauricio further added, “The place where Maradona was staying was not suitable to function as a home hospital. He died two weeks after surgery due to heart failure and fluid accumulation in his lungs.”

Prosecutors argue that despite enduring prolonged agony, Maradona was left to his fate due to medical negligence. As a result, seven healthcare workers are facing charges of intentional homicide. If found guilty, they could face prison sentences ranging from 8 to 25 years.

Before his death, Maradona had been battling drug and alcohol addiction for years. However, his fight came to an abrupt and tragic end.
