The National Citizen Party (NCP) has announced a protest program demanding a ban on the Awami League, justice for alleged mass killings, and political reforms.
According to a post made on NCP’s verified Facebook page on Monday, the protest march will begin at 4:30 PM on Tuesday from the Khamarbari intersection in the capital.
Earlier on Monday, NCP called for legislation within the next 15 days to formally ban the Awami League.
The demand was raised during a protest rally held in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, where the party also called for the prohibition of Awami League’s political activities, comprehensive reforms, and the formation of a national assembly through elections.
