When asked about the reasons behind the suspension, the Senior Secretary clarified, “Our decision is based on the official notification and directive issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.”

Earlier in the day, the government issued a proclamation banning all activities of the Awami League, its affiliated bodies, and allied organizations until the conclusion of trials against their leaders and members in the International Crimes Tribunal.
