An unidentified man was rescued in critical condition after being found buried alive in a paddy field in Monirampur upazila of Jessore. The incident occurred around 10:30 PM on Saturday (June 28) near the Bhandari Mor area along the Monirampur-Jhikargachha road.
According to local sources, the man was severely beaten and buried alive, presumably with the intent to kill him. Residents believe he may be from the neighboring Jhikargachha upazila. His muffled cries for help were heard by passersby, who then discovered him buried in the field and immediately rescued him.
He was taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital for treatment. As of now, his identity remains unknown. Authorities are investigating the incident.
