More than 150 political activists from various parties have joined the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) in Jashore. They formally joined the party by filling out membership forms at an event held on Friday afternoon at the Jashore Press Club auditorium.
The new members were welcomed with flowers by central and district leaders of the NCP. The event’s chief guest, NCP’s Central Organizer for the Southern Region, Sakib Shahriar, said, “People’s uprisings are meant to protect the country’s sovereign existence — not to serve any form of subjugation. The NCP is uniting the people to ensure that no fascist or autocratic regime can rise again in this country.”
He further stated, “The NCP aims to establish a new political system based on political awareness, justice, and equal rights.”
Other speakers at the event included NCP Central Member Yahia Zisan, Jashore District Chief Organizer Nuruzzaman, and District Organizer Borhan Uddin. The event was conducted by District Office Secretary Sajid Sarwar.
