A set of upcoming HSC exam question papers has been stolen after breaking into a sealed trunk kept under police custody. The incident took place at Dhamoirhat Police Station in Naogaon on Tuesday (June 17), but it only came to public attention from Thursday(June 19) sparking widespread concern in the district.
According to images circulated in various media outlets, the trunk — which was sealed for the 2025 HSC examinations — was visibly tampered with. Both locks of the trunk were missing, and torn pages of the “History of Islam” question paper were scattered inside.
Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Abdul Awal confirmed the authenticity of the incident. He stated, “The stolen question paper was for the History of Islam subject. We have informed the Chairman of the Rajshahi Education Board, who is scheduled to visit the site on Saturday for further investigation.”
In response to the incident, the Deputy Commissioner has formed a three-member investigation committee to look into the matter.
