UAE Launches New Golden Visa for Bangladeshis: Teachers, Nurses, and Content Creators Now Eligible

-

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has relaxed the eligibility criteria for its Golden Visa and introduced a new category aimed at professionals. This pilot initiative is specifically being offered to citizens of Bangladesh and India. Unlike before, this new nomination-based Golden Visa no longer requires massive investments and is open to certain skilled professionals.

Teachers, nurses, and digital content creators have now been added to the list of eligible applicants. This expansion paves the way for a wide range of professionals to settle permanently in the UAE, alongside existing beneficiaries such as entrepreneurs, investors, exceptional students, and industry experts.

The Golden Visa was initially launched in 2019 to attract wealthy individuals. At that time, only high-value investors qualified. In 2022, the investment threshold was reduced to 2 million dirhams to broaden accessibility.

The newly eligible professions for this visa include:

  • School and university teachers

  • Principals

  • Nurses with 15+ years of experience

  • Corporate executives

  • Frontline workers

  • YouTubers, podcasters, and other digital content creators

  • E-sports professionals over the age of 25

  • Luxury yacht owners and maritime executives

Nomination-Based Golden Visa Application Process:
The process is managed by UAE-based consultancy firm Rayad Group. According to its managing director, Rayad Kamal Ayub, the initiative is specifically tailored for Bangladeshi and Indian applicants.

Each applicant will undergo a background check covering criminal history, money laundering activity, and social media presence. Their potential contribution to the UAE’s economy, culture, business, or professional sectors will also be evaluated.

The visa application fee has been set at AED 100,000 (approximately BDT 3.33 million). Once approved, the applicant does not need to travel to the UAE immediately. Applications can be submitted through One Vasco Center, online portals, registered offices, or call centers.

Future Outlook:
This pilot program is part of the broader framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) countries. In the future, more countries, including China, may be added to the eligibility list.

Golden Visa Benefits:
Approved individuals can reside in the UAE with their families permanently. They will also be allowed to hire domestic workers and drivers. Crucially, unlike the traditional investment-based visa, selling one’s property does not void the nomination-based visa—it remains valid for life.
