Tarique Rahman Stands by 7-Year-Old Girl Brutally Assaulted in Jashore

Tarique Rahman, the Acting Chairman of the BNP, has expressed deep concern and solidarity with the 7-year-old girl from Chowgacha, Jashore, who recently became a victim of brutal assault.

Upon learning about the incident, Tarique Rahman, out of both humanitarian concern and political responsibility, instructed party leaders to look into the matter and ensure support for the victim.

Following his directive, BNP’s Health Affairs Secretary and Central Coordinator of the Party’s Women and Child Abuse Support Cell, Dr. Rafiqul Islam, visited Jashore General Hospital on Monday morning. He was accompanied by Anindya Islam Amit, Acting Organizing Secretary of BNP’s Khulna Division.

At the hospital, they met with the medical team to assess the child’s treatment progress and spoke with the victim’s mother. On behalf of Tarique Rahman, they also provided financial assistance to the family.

Leaders from Jashore BNP and local chapters of the Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) were also present during the visit.

Speaking to the media afterward, both Anindya Islam Amit and Dr. Rafiqul Islam demanded a fair and impartial investigation into the incident and called for exemplary punishment of the perpetrators.
