Students and Citizens Rally in Jashore Protesting Genocide in Palestine

-

A protest rally and demonstration were held in Jashore condemning the ongoing oppression, genocide, and aggression in Palestine. The participants called for an immediate end to Israeli attacks and demanded the protection of the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The demonstration took place on Monday (April 7), followed by a massive protest march that paraded through the main streets of the city and concluded at the Eidgah intersection in Jessore. Students, members of social organizations, and people from various walks of life joined the rally to express their solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Speakers at the rally emphasized that Palestine is an inseparable part of the Muslim ummah. The brutal attacks by Israeli forces are not just assaults on a region but an affront to the entire Muslim world. They urged world leaders to take immediate and effective measures to stop this humanitarian catastrophe.

The speakers further stated that the Al-Aqsa Mosque — the spiritual heart of Muslims — is currently under severe aggression. The Israeli military’s assault on this sacred site constitutes a clear crime against humanity. They demanded strong intervention from the international community and called for the perpetrators to be held accountable.

The event featured speeches from Rashed Khan, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, writer and researcher Benjeen Khan, among others.
